The One has turned five. For me this is not a date for a pretty banner on the website, but a good moment to stop and honestly articulate what has happened to us over these years: what task we grew out of, what we have become today, and why we are now looking beyond recruitment alone.

We started with a very specific pain of technology companies: finding rare specialists where simply posting a vacancy does not work. Engineers, developers, embedded, ML, heads of practice areas, product and project roles β€” all of this required not mass-market search but an understanding of the professional environment, the business context and human motivation.

Today The One is broader than a classic agency. Around hiring we have grown consulting, education, assessment, team development and an HR Tech practice. More and more I think of our expertise not as a set of separate services but as a system: data, methodology, human precision and products should connect into a single logic.

That is why we have put together a dedicated anniversary page β€” the manifesto β€œYesterday. Today. Tomorrow.”. It briefly describes The One's path: from expert recruitment for technology companies to an HR Tech ecosystem for the future labour market.

If you read only one piece about our anniversary, let it be this one. It is not a press release and not a list of achievements, but an attempt to capture the direction The One is moving in next.
